Getting Started

Head to our sign-up page and create an account with your email address. You'll need to verify your email before you can enter any hunts. The whole process takes less than two minutes.

Yes. Email verification is required before you can enter hunts or claim prizes. This helps us prevent fraud and ensures prize money reaches the right person. You can also add phone verification for faster notifications.

Visit the Areas page, find your location, and click 'Join Waitlist'. We'll notify you by email (and SMS if you opt in) as soon as hunts are available in your area.

Free accounts can enter standard hunts. Premium subscribers get early access to hunt announcements, exclusive clue drops, and bonus prize entries. Pro Hunters get all Premium perks plus priority entry to high-value hunts and a Pro badge on the leaderboard.

During Hunts

When a hunt goes live, visit the Live page and click 'Enter Hunt'. You'll see the live stream of our hider, clues as they're released, and a GPS tracking map showing the hider's general area.

The live stream has a short delay (typically 10-30 seconds) to prevent anyone from gaining an unfair advantage. The GPS tracker updates in near-real-time alongside the stream.

The GPS tracker shows the hider's approximate location on a map, updating as they move. It gives you the general area but not an exact pinpoint, so you still need to search. As clues are released, the area narrows down.

Clues are released at timed intervals during the hunt. They appear on the Live page and are also pushed as notifications if you've enabled them. Each clue narrows down the hiding location further.

The codeword is a secret phrase the hider carries. When you find the hider, you must say the codeword to claim the prize. The codeword is revealed on-stream once someone finds the hider, confirming the winner.

Prizes & Payments

Prizes are paid via bank transfer within 5 working days of the hunt. After finding the hider and being verified as the winner, you'll provide your bank details securely through your dashboard.

Some hunts offer sponsored prizes (e.g. gift cards, experiences, or products) instead of cash. The prize type is always clearly displayed before the hunt starts so you know what you're hunting for.

In the UK, competition prizes are generally not subject to income tax. However, we recommend consulting a tax advisor for your specific circumstances, especially for larger prizes. We provide winner documentation if needed.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, enter hunts, and claim prizes. Valid ID may be required for prize verification.

Subscriptions

Premium gives you early hunt announcements (30 minutes before free users), exclusive mid-hunt clue drops, bonus entries for prize draws, and a Premium badge on the leaderboard.

Pro Hunter includes everything in Premium plus priority entry to high-value hunts, access to Pro-only hunts with bigger prizes, a Pro badge, and direct support. It's for the most dedicated hunters.

You can cancel anytime from your Dashboard under Settings. Your benefits continue until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees, no questions asked.

Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can update your payment method or view invoices from your Dashboard. We'll email you before each renewal.

Technical

Find2Win is a web app that works on any modern smartphone, tablet, or computer. No app download required. For the best experience during hunts, we recommend using your phone with GPS and notifications enabled.

We support the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. For live streams and GPS tracking, make sure your browser is up to date and that you've granted location permissions.

GPS accuracy depends on your device and environment. In open areas, accuracy is typically within 5-10 metres. In built-up areas or indoors, it may be less precise. The hider's GPS is updated in near-real-time on the map.

When you enable notifications, you'll get alerts for hunt announcements, live starts, and clue releases. You can manage notification preferences in your Dashboard settings. Notifications work via your browser's push notification system.

First, check your internet connection and try refreshing the page. If you're on mobile data, try switching to Wi-Fi. Clear your browser cache if issues persist. If it still doesn't work, contact us and we'll help troubleshoot.

Safety

Yes. All hunts take place in publicly accessible areas such as parks, town centres, and public footpaths. Our hiders are trained to stay in safe, legal locations at all times.

Hunters must never trespass on private property. The hider will always be in a public space, so there is never a reason to enter private land. Anyone found trespassing will be disqualified and may have their account suspended.

Our hiders always have a support team nearby and are in constant communication with our operations team. They carry safety equipment and follow strict protocols. If a situation feels unsafe, the hunt is paused or cancelled.

We monitor weather conditions before and during every hunt. If conditions become dangerous (severe storms, flooding, extreme heat), the hunt will be postponed or cancelled. Entrants are notified immediately and hunts are rescheduled.

Stay aware of your surroundings, don't run near roads, follow all local laws, hunt with a friend when possible, and keep your phone charged. Never enter private property or restricted areas. Your safety is more important than any prize.
